Capital Stage 2008–09 Season General Auditions
Capital Stage will hold its 2008–09 season general auditions on Monday, June 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. At this audition we are seeking AEA and non-AEA actors for our new play workshops, and readings, as well as for our full productions in our 2008-09 season.
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TO FIND OUT HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THESE AUDITIONS. PLEASE ONLY EMAIL FOR AN APPOINTMENT ON THE SPECIFIC DAYS LISTED.
Slots will be given to Equity actors on a first come, first serve basis for up to 75% of the appointments. The remaining appointments will be available to non-union actors who did not participate in Capital Stage’s general auditions in 2007.
At this time, casting of actors less than 18 years of age is coordinated through our Youth Theatre; for more information, contact the youththeatre@capstage.org.
For an appointment for Monday, June 23, please email casting@capstage.org by Monday, June 16. Include the following information in your message:
• Your name
• Your contact phone numbers
• Your email address
• Your equity status
• Whether you are a local or non-local actor
• Any time preferences or limitations on your availability to audition during the audition times on Monday, June 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
We will call or email you by Tuesday, June 17 to let you know if we have a slot for you, along with the time of your audition. Please reply to confirm your audition by noon on Thursday, June 19; otherwise we will give your slot to someone else. If something should come up that makes it impossible for you to make your appointment, please contact us so we can give your slot to someone on the waiting list.
Auditions will be held aboard the Delta King in the Delta King Theatre

Directions will be included in your confirmation email.
Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues for a combined total of 3 minutes. Singing is not necessarily discouraged, but no accompanist will be provided. Please bring a headshot and resume which lists the names of the directors who have directed the productions you've performed in, as well as the names of the two pieces you've prepared.
